Two builders launch Valcon Homes

Valcon’s first display home is now open at the new Waterline community in Thornlands, which is hosting a family fun day to celebrate the launch of its new builder display village.

Valcon’s directors – Tim Douglas and Jason Doerr – have entered the competitive home builder industry to address a gap in the market for a consistent level of quality design from entry level houses right through to multi-million dollar builds.

Valcon  already has 20 single and double storey four bedroom, two bathroom designs available, to choose from, with scope to tailor floorplans or contract a custom build.

Mr Douglas says unlike many other builders, Valcon will  also work to a guaranteed timeframe and price, and will deliver homes that are designed to offer versatility as owners move through different stages of life.

“One of the biggest barriers for buyers considering building a new home is the concern that construction costs will increase before their home is complete. In some cases where builders do not offer a guaranteed fixed price, costs can unexpectedly increase by thousands of dollars and can wipe out the benefit of any government grants or incentives,” he said.

“By working to a fixed price and guaranteed  time frame, purchasers can have confidence that they are in control and won’t need to dip into their savings or be inconvenienced by having to wait longer than expected to move into their new home.

“With all of our years of experience in the building industry, we also understand that a home is a medium to long term investment, and that life can change quickly with the arrival of children, a change of profession or changes in the broader market.

“This is why we have designed our homes to stand the test of time – which means they are not only of a high quality but in most cases offer versatile rooms and spaces which can be transformed to suit changes in lifestyle or living circumstances.”

Mr Doerr says the home builder market is also  incredibly under serviced in terms of its after-sale care, meaning purchasers often do not receive any advice or follow up once they move into their new home.

“We will be there throughout the entire purchasing process to assist our buyers right from start to finish – and will continue the support even after the work is complete and the keys have been handed over,” he said.

“It’s a privilege to be trusted with the creation of someone’s home – their greatest asset and the place where they will create and share memories with their loved ones. Part of that trust is knowing that the builder is highly qualified and approachable should any issues or concerns arise.”
