Simpson Strong-Tie has announced an expansion of its concealed post base range following the success of its ZMAX galvanised versions.

The CPT44SS delivers a concealed, modern appearance and has a 25mm standoff height above the concrete from the base to reduce the potential for decay at the post end.

All the components of the new CPT44SS, from the stand-off and blade to the dowels, are made from 316 stainless steel for complete corrosion protection. Even the post base has been designed for superior corrosion protection, making it ideal for coastal areas and in locations where extra corrosion protection is required.

The CPT44SS is available in 90 x 90mm size, which suits 90 – 100mm square timber posts.
