AFS launches new, patented rediwall speedy-snap-in range

Australian permanent formwork system manufacturer AFS, which is a division of CSR, has announced the launch of its new rediwall speedy-snap-in range.

The rediwall speedy-snap-in permanent PVC formwork system comes in an extended range of panel sizes including 110mm, 156mm and 200mm. Quick and easy to use, the system also includes a new ezy-fit corner panel.

This patented 90° corner section is removable, which allows complete, unobstructed access for the trouble-free installation of reinforcement bars. It also allows certifying engineers to simply remove the cap to inspect and approve reinforcement placement prior to concrete pouring.

“Our new rediwall speedy-snap-in system is the simple, cost-effective answer to conventional concrete and masonry. The new lightweight PVC panels simply snap together by hand and are then ready to be core-filled. You don’t even need a formed deck for installation and installations can be done with minimal training. It’s that simple,” says CSR general manager of new business development Steve Darwell.

The system has been designed in consultation with leading Australian builders and formworkers, with the end result a more efficient, versatile and low-maintenance permanent formwork solution.

The panels are tough, rigid and durable, designed with large kidney-shaped holes for better concrete flow during core filling. The shape of the hole in the 200mm panel allows for double or single reinforced steel placement, as well as single reinforced steel to be offset to one side to further optimise performance.

Applications include basements, party walls, columns, lift shafts, stair wells, retaining walls, retention tanks, service and storm water pits, foundation and landscaping walls.
