The 2019 Gyprockers Choice Awards returns with a brand new image.

CSR Gyprock has embarked on its search for the industry’s very best tradesmen and women, adopting an all-new, digitally led entry campaign with #ImAGyprocker. Celebrating the work of serious Gyprock pro’s, the 2019 Gyprockers Choice Awards program invites craftspeople across Australia to submit projects they believe to be game-changers, recognising the people behind the hashtag and showcasing the creative ways the much-loved, professional’s-choice product can be used.

“Each year, Gyprock looks to appreciate, recognise and reward our consumers, celebrating the industry and their craft that follows via the Gyprockers Awards,” says CSR general manager marketing Troy Green.

“Following the tremendous success of the 2018 series, this year, we decided to take it one step further. Tapping into the digital realm that dominates the professional space today, the 2019 Gyprockers Choice Awards is much more than just an awards ceremony; it is a full-blown campaign that allows us to recognise the plasterers that choose the brand every day, and make up its community.  Plus the apprentices who are putting in the hard work to develop their craft.”

Honouring the winners from the 2018 awards, this year CSR Gyprock’s award winning plasters ask, “are you a Gyprocker, too?” Submissions of work are invited to be made via the Imagryprocker.com website, following which the submission reach will be amplified as Gyprock shares each entry to its social channels, and nominees are able to further share their projects to their own social media platforms for friends, family and professional networks to cast their vote on.

Three awards will be issued in each of the four award regions across the country, including QLD, VIC, WA and NSW. Plus the entries with the highest number of votes from the public will win the Peoples Choice Award.

The categories:

  • Master Craftsman
  • Best Innovative Use of Plasterboard
  • Best Work by an Apprentice

This year, award entrants have the opportunity to win a number of fantastic, career-building prizes from CSR Gyprock and its partners.  Additionally, the awards are continuing to shape the future of the plasterboard sector with one of the most priceless gifts of all. Available to the winner of the Master Craftsman categories, CSR Gyprock is giving away an incredible Business Pro Pack. Arming winners with the tools to establish or grow their own business. The pack will include a valuable partnership with a design industry to develop a website, flyers, signage and other collateral, along with a digital boot camp course, and a gift voucher to purchase tools or other capital items.

Ready to get involved?

Visit www.imagyprocker.com between the 22 July and 15 September 2019, to submit a project:

  • Entrants should submit their best work, and also send a picture of themselves.
  • Nominated projects must have been completed after 1 September 2018.
  • Projects must use Gyprock plasterboard, cornice and compounds.
  • Once submitted, entrants can share their work and get their community to vote to win the Peoples Choice Awards

For the other awards, a panel of past winners will judge the entries in each category. The winners will be announced at respected state award ceremonies in October and November 2019.

Submit projects and vote at: www.imagyprocker.com
