Boral Timber launches the metallon XL, engineered flooring collection

Boral Timber has updated its metallon engineered flooring collection, launching the metallon XL.

It features large format 186mm by 14mm hardwood timber boards in a new range of modern colours and contemporary look and feel.

It aims to make a unique statement in residential interiors with the high-quality and easy to install metallon XL boards inspired by the aesthetics of precious metals, transforming the beauty of Aussie hardwoods into the metallon XL colours of Copper and Tungsten as well as new colours with Aztec White, Sterling and Quicksilver.

“The metallon XL range has been developed in response to the trends we are seeing in the local flooring market. We understand consumers appreciate the durability and feature of Australian timbers, so we have used these as a base, finished in a choice of light and darker tones for modern room makeovers, renovations and new builds,” Boral Timber general manger for sales and distribution Leon Travis says.

Stained engineered boards are a versatile and multi-dimensional timber flooring solution that matches Australian architecture and design trends.

The boards also use a click-lock installation system which makes it quick and easy to install and join together for a tight-fitting board-to-board finish.

The 4mm nominal hardwood top layer, Blackbutt timber can be sanded back for a more natural finish or re-stained for whatever the designer would prefer.
