SHAPE Australia wins 11 Master Builders Association Awards
SHAPE Australia has won top awards in multiple states and territories at the Master Builders Association (MBA) Excellence in Constriction Awards, announced on 20 November 2020.
The company won the awards across a number of categories including high-profile commercial fitouts and refurbishments in retail, healthcare and government including the heritage listed, National Archives of Australia restoration. It was recognised for delivering game-changing innovation, quality of construction and exceptional construction management.
“I’m incredibly proud to have our work and our team recognised for their dedication to the industry,” SHAPE ACT general manager Tom Sparkes says.
“Our project teams are honoured for each win and understand that these are testament to our drive in delivering challenging projects to tight schedules, while continuously providing the best customer experience for our clients.”
In addition to major project wins, SHAPE’s Keeta Welch was announced as the Winner of ‘Women in Construction’ award for the Northern Territory. Keeta, who started her construction career at the age of 18 in an administration assistant role, grew to become a successful project manager and has shown initiative, leadership and solutions-driven approaches.
“As a woman in a male-dominated industry, success sometimes feels as though your position title is not enough, and that you must prove yourself,” she says.
“My goal is to be an active and leading voice in the evolving field of construction and showcase that initiative, hard work and a solution-driven approach pays off. I very feel honoured to have received the Women in Construction award as it validates my dedication and persistence within the industry. Overall, I am very thankful for my team and industry representatives that have supported my successful journey to date.”
