CSR Gyprock launches EC08 Extreme
CSR Gyprock, Australian plasterboard manufacturer, has launched EC08 Extreme, a premium, multi-functional plasterboard that has been engineered for extreme impact.
The new plasterboard is reinforced with materials that provide increased durability including a dense fibre-reinforced core, fibreglass mesh and a thick face paper. The 133mm board achieves very high levels of resistance to soft and hard body impact and surface indentation and has been tested and proven to deliver exceptional results across these three key areas.
Meeting the highest standards across a range of performance requirements, further functional benefits of the high impact resistant board include fire and acoustics as well as mould and moisture resistance making it ideal for specialised construction including hospitals, mental health facilities, correctional facilities, sporting facilities, schools, shopping centres and anywhere where multifunction performance and impact resistance is imperative.
“EC08 Extreme meets the extraordinary requirements attributed to such high-performance facilities,” CSR Gyprock category manager, internal linings, Peter Tollens says.
“It is the highest achiever in the Gyprock EC08 range and its broad attributes will primarily enable one plasterboard to be specified throughout entire projects, removing the potential for installation errors and offering ease of construction and quality assurance for architects, builders and specifiers.”
EC08 Extreme also maintains all the proven benefits of Gyprock plasterboard that the Australian construction industry expects, including easy handling and installation, conventional jointing methods and a superb finish after painting.
