Kingspan Insulated Panels receives renewed Global GreenTag certification
Kingspan Insulated Panels has renewed its Global GreenTag certification for several of its products that contain a zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) Kingspan Polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation core.
Kingspan general manager, Jonathan Wormwell, says that the company is committed to supporting a sustainable future and investing in initiatives like Global GreenTag ensures the company can support the construction of green buildings Australia-wide.
“Renewing this certification is the next step in Kingspan’s continued commitment to enhance industry-wide sustainability and is in line with the company’s global Planet Passionate 10-year sustainability program,” he explains.
Kingspan products comply with the ISO 9001 standard, are manufactured to ensure long service life, and are made from high-quality materials using state-of-the-art production equipment to rigorous quality-control standards.
As part of the Global GreenTag renewal process, Kingspan’s products were subjected to life cycle assessments and analysis that recognised the water and carbon footprints of each product. It also demonstrated that the products were designed for recycling or reuse, had low toxicity or no toxicity in use, and have healthy volatile organic compound (VOC) levels.
