Hardie releases Brushed Concrete Cladding, creating minimalist facades
James Hardie’s newest fibre cement product, Hardie Brushed Concrete Cladding, features a unique embedded texture reminiscent of softly-brushed concrete, giving a home’s exterior a visually sophisticated finish, which is dynamic to the touch.
Ideal for creating modern façades with interest, Hardie Brushed Concrete Cladding can be used alone for a modern minimalist finish, or complementary to other Hardie exterior cladding solutions achieving a personalised exterior design. Hardie Brushed Concrete Cladding is suitable for ground floor and mixed-storey applications, so you can make it modern without the constraints of traditional building materials.
Bennett House by Futureflip is one of the first homes in Australia to feature the new Hardie Brushed Concrete Cladding. Helping achieve a minimalist box modern façade, the cladding has been used across the majority of Bennett House’s exterior.
“We wanted to create a minimalist, box-modern façade so Hardie Brushed Concrete Cladding was the perfect solution with its subtle texture and was perfect for our clients’ low-fuss, low-key lifestyle,” a Hardie spokesperson says.
“It gives a nice, crisp seamless look so it also works well on the sides and back of the building across the large surfaces.”
Hardie Embedded Texture Technology creates beautiful textures without the need for specialist trades. The 8.5mm thick fibre cement panels connect to each other with shiplap joints, are cut to size and are typically gun-nailed. This simple and streamlined installation process means only carpentry trades are required for installation with no need for specialist trades to set joints and apply textures.
