Superyard and Cirka partner for an eco-friendly Melbourne Cup Carnival initiative

Superyard has partnered with Cirka to make the Victoria Racing Club’s 2023 Melbourne Cup Carnival a flagship for sustainable and circular economy practices.

Superyard is an online marketplace for building and construction companies to buy and sell unused materials sitting in yards across the country and incorporates a stock management system for those businesses that need one.

Joining forces with waste management leaders Cirka, Superyard will source, hold and redistribute reusable building materials from the Melbourne Cup Carnival. The initiative will ensure nothing goes to waste, from pine wood and MDF panels to various other crucial building supplies.

Instead of disposing of these valuable materials, Superyard will facilitate their redistribution to sectors in need, prioritising health, education and charity organisations in Melbourne and the broader Victorian region.

This initiative is a win-win for all involved: reducing waste, promoting sustainable practices and offering nearly-new building materials to organisations in need.
