The Green Building Council Australia (GBCA) will be running a masterclass that answer questions about electrifying existing buildings and more.

Held on 10 April from 12:30pm to 4:30pm AEST, the masterclass will also explore how projects can achieve a lower emission building and discuss key challenges and barriers that may need to be navigated along the way.

Key areas of learning will focus on understanding why electrification is important in a decarbonised future, examining alternatives to fossil fuels and how replacement can be actioned, exploring key design considerations to consider for electrification and identifying key challenges for electrifying existing buildings and how to overcome them.

The masterclass will be hosting a list of speakers including Positive Zero director David Clark, Colliers sustainability director Robyn Hyslop, Mirvac national director ESG David Palin, HIP V. HYPE head of better buildings David Mahony and Investa sustainability manager Rebecca Fitzgerald.
