Boral Timber adds premium composite decking product to range
Boral Timber has added Trex Transcend, a premium composite decking product to its mix of hardware solutions. Boral’s focus is on being as environmentally friendly as possible and is made up of 95% recycled materials which keeps 272,000 tonnes of plastic out of landfill every year.
It’s an innovative, high-performing product that’s resistant to fading, moulding, scratching and staining thanks to its three-side shell protection.
On top of that, it’s very low maintenance and a 25-year limited residential fade and stain warranty ensures users will have a product for the long-term.
Boral is offering the Trex Transcend in five nature-inspired shades: island mist, spiced rum, lava rock, Havana gold and tiki torch, each with an authentic wood-grain pattern. Despite being made up of nearly all recycled material, each product has variations in the grain and tone from board to board.
“When Boral decided to enter the composite decking market, we wanted to find a brand that aligned with our own premium, high-end products and Trex ticked all those boxes,” Boral’s Paul Rowbotham says.
“We are very excited to be able to offer our customers a complete decking solution now; both our traditional hardwood products and what we perceive to be the number one composite decking product in the world.”
