Navman MiVUE Dash Cam Range 2020-21
In Australia, more than 20% of motor insurance claims* use dash cam footage so if the other driver has proof and you don’t, there’s a high chance you’ll lose.
Protection from other drivers is the number one reason people buy dash cams and why the market is growing so rapidly. Of course it isn’t just about getting the footage, it’s also about getting quality footage where information like identifying number plates, street signage and traffic lights is critical, and equally important is having the information on how fast you were travelling (and the other car) and the direction and G-Forces of impact.
Navman has been designing and manufacturing dash cams in its own factories for more than a decade, and uses quality components, like glass lenses (rather than plastic) and the best available sensors to capture the crispest images in whatever weather or light conditions.
There are models that include rear camera, as well as those that include speed and safety camera alerts to help you drive safely, legally and inexpensively, as well as ADAS alerts to warn if you are moving out of your lane. Add a SmartBox ($79) and you can activate ‘park mode’ on many models so the cameras record if your vehicle is bumped while it’s parked.
This year sees the introduction of the MiVUE 1000 and 1100 Sensor XL models with the biggest sensor in any dash cam anywhere in the world. This enables it to provide more light into the lens and capture incredible detail even in very dark environments.
This year Navman is also introducing the most feature-packed dash cam from Navman– the MiCam, which includes a host of features including navigation, Full HD 1080P recording, Sony Starvis Sensor, all the safety alerts and the ability to Bluetooth with your phone. It will even read your messages out loud to you if you choose! MiCam also comes as a 4WD and larger vehicle model (MiCam Explore) and as MiCam Truck for professional truck drivers.
All Navman MiVUE products are built and tested for harsh Australian climates up to 70 degrees Celsius.
